I recently moved to the great state of Colorado from Oklahoma City. While attending the University of Oklahoma, I got a part time job at a liquor store (mainly for the employee discount). I immediately fell in love with all things liquor. I ended up staying there throughout college, and began to manage it once I graduated. Alcohol is fascinating. Each bottle contains the history of its name, the passion of its creators, and the hard work of all those who worked on crafting it. I believe each bottle possesses two stories: one to be told, and one yet to be written. Come on in and I’ll help you find whatever you need to write that next story.
I grew up in South Boulder with a father who believed that every well rounded dinner should include a glass of wine, so of course I was introduced at an early age. When I moved back to Colorado after college I got a position stocking shelves at Boulder's old Liquor Mart, and started taking wine classes. I soon realized how much I love wine, and began working towards finding a buyer position where I could continue to learn and cultivate the type of wine selection that I had so admired. Wine is my passion and a central part of my life- I constantly see its ability to bring people together, be part of a relaxing moment alone, or complete a meal. I'm always looking to share my love of wine so come say hi!
I'm a Colorado native and I love exploring all of the beauty this state has to offer. While attending CSU in Fort Collins, I participated in my first Tour de Fat; New Belgium brewery's traditional costumed bike parade.
Sunshine Wheat and Fat Tire opened my eyes to the wonderful world of craft beer and I've been passion about it ever since. It's a wonderful thing seeing how much the beer scene has grown since then and I am thrilled to be sharing some of it with you as the beer buyer at Atlas Valley Purveyors. Come say hi next time you're in the store. Cheers-
